Bergenia × schmidtii
Vigorous perennial plant with large, fleshy dark green leaves that turn reddish in winter. Produces inflorescences of pale pink flowers in spring.
Requires well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Drought tolerant once established. Divide plants every 3-4 years. Hardy to cold and frost conditions.
