Cretan Ballota

Ballota pseudodictamnus

Description

Hairy aromatic shrub with grey-green leaves and pale pink flowers. Very resistant to drought and sea salt.

Growing tips

Plant this aromatic shrub in an outdoor location with full sun exposure (at least 7 hours of direct sunlight), as it is not suitable for indoors. Water sparingly, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, since it is highly drought-tolerant. Use a well-drained substrate, preferably sandy or calcareous, to prevent excess moisture around the roots. It withstands frost down to -8 °C, making it a hardy and low-maintenance plant, ideal for Mediterranean gardens.
