Antirrhinum majus
Tubular flower with columnar inflorescences. Excellent for gardens and cut flowers.
The snapdragon (Antirrhinum majus) requires an outdoor location with direct sunlight, ideally between 6 and 8 hours per day, as it is not suitable for indoor growing. Water with moderate frequency, allowing the substrate to dry out slightly between waterings to prevent root rot. It is a hardy plant that tolerates frost down to -8 °C, making it well suited to Mediterranean climates and open gardens. Plant it in spring in a well-drained substrate and enjoy its striking red columnar blooms from spring through to autumn.
