Description

Red amaranth is an annual plant with dense, intensely red inflorescences, widely cultivated for its nutritious grains and edible leaves. Native to Mexico, it adapts well to warm climates and is quite drought-resistant.

Growing tips

Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. Water regularly during growth but allow soil to dry between waterings. No special fertilizer needed. Harvest grains when the plant turns brown.
