Aloysia triphylla
Aromatic plant with citronella leaves, excellent for digestive and anxiolytic infusions. Traditional use in natural medicine.
Lemon verbena needs between 6 and 12 hours of direct sunlight per day, whether outdoors or indoors in a very bright spot. Water with moderate frequency, allowing the substrate to dry out slightly between waterings to prevent root suffocation. It is not frost-hardy, so if kept outdoors it should be protected or moved to a sheltered location when temperatures approach 0 °C. Planted in spring in fresh, well-drained soil, it will grow vigorously and aromatically, reaching one metre in height or more.
