Aloe ferox
Large succulent native to South Africa with thick, spiky grayish-green leaves and dense spikes of bright yellow tubular flowers in winter and spring.
Water only when soil is completely dry. Requires excellent drainage and direct sunlight. Drought-tolerant but frost-sensitive; protect in cold climates. Ideal for dry gardens and xeriscaping.
