Abelmoschus esculentus
Annual plant native to Africa that produces edible pods. It is cultivated for its green fruits, used in cooking as a vegetable.
Requires warm temperatures and abundant sunlight. Moderate watering and well-drained soil. Sow in spring when soil is warm. Harvest pods when tender, between 7-10 cm long.
